The Egyptian Market
The Egyptian Market is an important part of the great Ottoman civilization, and the focus of attention of Arab and foreign tourists. Each and every one has his own way of presenting his goods in a way that attracts clients. The Egyptian Market was given this name, because the Turkish Merchants used to bring their goods from Egypt, especially the grains and the spices. The Market is located before Al-ominono port, next to the new mosque, which is called in Turkey ‘Yenni Mosque’. The Egyptian Market has six enterances and around 140 shops, divided accordingly into sections for gold, presents, clothes, and most of them present nuts, candy, spices, herbs, and various food items.
