Sultan Mehmed Al-Fatih (The conquerer of Constantinpole) has his name linked to various historical landmarks in the Istanbul’s peninsula. Al-Fatih neighbourhood is considered one of the most famous neighbourhoods in Istanbul. The market is located in the historical area of Al-Fatih, particularly at the back of the famous mosque Al-Fatih. It includes thousands of vendors and mechants, kiosks, and the orginal merchants who own the shops. The locals call it (The Wedensday Market), as the vendors gather during the Wednesday of each week, either kiosk vendors or street sellers or even the shops that could reach a number of 2500 shop. The market is consisted of 7 main streets and 17 avenues from the historical avenues that hold the essence of authentic history. Inside the market, everything is on display, starting fruit, vegetables, clothes, till you reach home appliances.
