The Princesses Islands
They are called the Princesses Islands, and they are located about an hour and a half from downtown Istanbul. It is located in the Marmarah sea, and it is accessible from Kabtash port by ships.
The Princesses Islands are consisted of four big islands and 5 small islands, forming a series of nine islands near the shores of Istanbul in the Marmarah sea. During the months of summer, the Princesses Islands or the Princes Islands are considered a great popular destination across Turkey. Daily trips are initiated for it from Istanbul. In the Princesses Islands you can find four restaurants working only in summer. In addition to various restaurants, cafes, shops, and interesting activities.
Buyukada island, which means in Arabic (The Big Island) is the biggest, the most famous, and the most visited island of the Princesses Islands. The date of invading this island by the Ottomans is 1453 AD, done by the hands of the leader Solomen Oglu. The island is famous for ancient buildings, wooden houses, narrow streets, magical calmness, and the absence of pollution, cars or crowds. Still, there is an extra reason for making it a destination for tourists. That is moving inside the island is done by horse carriages or bicylces or small motorcycles. Normal cars are prohibited except for some cars, like the governmental ones.
