Yildiz Palace
Yildiz Palace is distinguished for its huge and well-protected garden. It covers a vast area of land with greenery, beautiful flowers adorned with lovely nectar, and plants and trees that was collected from every part in the world. As we all know, Yildiz Palace is the fouth Ottoman Palace in Istanbul to be built after the Islamic conquest. Yildiz woods covers an area of 500,000 m2 located between Besiktas, Ortakoy, and Palmomjo overlooking the Bosphorus. These woods is named Ciragan olgu after the conquest of Istanbul. There is a huge probability that these woods were joined with the private gardens of the Sultan during Sultan Ahmed I era. This environment gained the attendtion of Sultan Murad and Sultan Selim III. These woods started being called Yildiz because of constructing a small kiosk by the name of Yildiz that belonged to the father of Sultan Selim III and Sultan Mehri Shah. This palace has witnessed the shooting of the Turkish series “On the Bosphorus beach” just like other elegant Turkish palaces that left a historic mark in the place.
